1, the Asian Games in 1951

After the Second World War, Asian countries became close, free and friendly each other. They co-operated in many fields to create strong Asia businesses, compared with other continents.

So, idea to establish some sport events to connect people closer. As a good result, the first Asian game was held in 1951 at New Delhi, India. India played the host country for this event, then opened other next games at Asia.

This event marked an important meaning in the cooperation about sports venture as well other fields in Asia. Finally, this event was successful as expectations and continues to be held in the current period.

2, Olympics in Helsinki 1952

Before the Second World War, Olympics was considered as the biggest sport event in the world. Therefore, receiving any medal in this festival was great and wonderful.

Shri Khashaba Jadhav represented India to join the wrestling game in 1948 and 1952. He was under pressure to bring victory for his nation.

As a good result, he was excellent in the Olympics 1952 at Helsinki to bring the bronze Medal. If he had a little extra luck, maybe he could go to the finals to pick up the golden medal. However, this achievement was surprising and happy for any India. Because this was the first time one Indian athlete can reach one medal in the Olympics.
